Job Summary:
We're seeking a strategic and innovative Chief Financial Officer to drive financial success in our cutting-edge brain-computer interface startup. Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all financial operations of the company, establishing financial strategies and systems
- Working with a cross-functional, interdisciplinary team to integrate financial planning with hardware, software, nanoscience, and data science development
- Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to secure funding and manage investor relations
- Interface and negotiate with investors, banks, and financial institutions
- Develop and implement financial controls and risk management strategies
- Build, grow, and manage the finance team
- Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to the board and stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Expertise in startup financial management and strategy
- Experience in securing funding and managing investor relations in the tech or medical device sector
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance in the medical device industry
- Experience with financial planning for R&D-intensive companies
- Experience working in early stage startups or other high-growth companies
- Collaboration experience with venture capital firms and financial institutions
- Management experience leading teams in fast-paced environments
- An advanced degree in finance, accounting, or a related field with 10+ years of relevant experience
- A willingness to take on high risk, high reward challenges
- Fluent in written and spoken English
